Amazing breakfast restaurant with traditional Mexican food! The restaurant has a great look and feel. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good breakfast spot in Mexico City!

MUUUUY RICO! I got the chilaquiles verde con bistec and it was so delicious. They have a breakfast special that includes food, coffee or tea, and juice or fruit. So delicious and everyone is so kind! Love this place and definitely saving it and recommending it to anyone who visits!

Great place for authentic Mexican breakfast. The owner was very friendly and gave us a sample of the cafe olla (Mexican spice coffee) and even chapulines (fried grasshopper).

Got the mollete con tocino breakfast combo. The bread is so fresh, everything was served very hot, and the pico added a perfect balance to the rich cheese and bacon. The juice was a nice surprise - sweet but not too sweet. The staff was very friendly. 5/5!

Really tasty verde sauce on my enchiladas. Great juice and Cafe de Olla. Friendly service. Reasonable price.

My absolute favourite place for breakfast in cdmx! The breakfast sets are incredible value and come with cafe/tea and a choice of a fresh juice or fruit. Highly recommend trying the cafe de olla (traditional Mexican coffee). My personal favourite dish is the enfrijoladas con chorizo oaxaqueño and the waiter is so friendly and a complete jokester - he made us feel so welcome despite the language barrier! Do yourself a favour and come here!!!

Completely agree with most of the reviews here! The food is to die for! You can literally see how they make it right in front of you so they make sure to use fresh ingredients. They have traditional Mexican food as well as the “usual” or conventional breakfast options such us eggs and coffee. The prices are reasonable, the ambiance is great, and the waiter is very kind.

I visited El Comal y la Olla twice during a six day trip to CDMX. Actually I went three times because I forgot to check the hours and they were closed the first time I tried on a Saturday morning (I was forced to go to Plan B and endure the massive line at Panaderia Rosetta). So definitely check their hours before you go. I got the Chilaquiles Verde both times. I wanted to try something different for my second visit but the chilaquiles was too good and I couldn't NOT get it again. The prices on the front of the menu also include a Mexican coffee and a glass of juice. I think there are a la carte options on the other side of the menu, but the coffee and the juice were great too. Aside from the delicious food, the little restaurant is adorable -- I ate inside both times but there are a few outdoor tables as well. The husband and wife (I think?) who run the place are very friendly and can help in (a little) English and Spanish. Mexico City isn't lacking for delicious food options, but I was happy to repeat at El Comal y la Olla and I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.
